Ride through Malaysia’s rainy season without the mess thanks to the Tern SKS Mini 20″ Fender Set—designed to keep both rider and bike admirably clean during wet commutes or unexpected showers.

  • Size & Wheel Compatibility
Engineered for 20″ (406 mm) wheels, the front fender spans approximately 500 mm × 45 mm (that’s about 19.7″ long and 1.8″ wide), while the rear fender measures 810 mm × 45 mm (31.9″ × 1.8″).

  • Weight
The full set weighs around 0.6 lb, or roughly 270 g, which adds minimal bulk while offering solid splash protection.

  • Material & Build Quality
Crafted from durable chrome-plastic (SKS’s signature material), these fenders resist dents and corrosion. They feature adjustable stainless-steel stays, plus stainless mounting hardware, ensuring long-lasting strength and easy fitment.

  • Bike Compatibility
Compatible with most Tern Link and Verge models that use 20″ wheels—perfect for Link P-series, Link C8, Verge S8i, and similar models, provided they don’t have oversized “Big Apple” tyres.

Usage & Installation Instructions

  1. Setup
Mount the front fender to the fork using the included bolt and thread the adjustable stays to fine-tune alignment. The rear fender attaches via mounting bracket to the seatstay bridge, with stays bent for a secure fit.

  2. Adjustment & Fit
Adjust the stays so the fender sits approximately 2–3 mm clear of the tyre surface—enough to avoid contact when muddy, but close enough to block most water spray.

  3. Cleaning & Maintenance
After riding in rain, rinse the fenders with clean water to remove mud and road grime. For tougher dirt, clean gently with mild soapy water, then wipe dry to prevent water spots or salt corrosion—particularly important near coastal regions in Malaysia.

Precautions

  • Check Clearance
Ensure clearance especially if using wider or balloon tyres—oversized tyres can rub against the fender edges.

  • Secure Bolt Tightening
Regularly check bolts and stays for tightness. Cycling vibrations, especially on bumpy Malaysian roads, may loosen them over time.

  • Avoid Over-Bending Stays
Excessive force when adjusting the steel stays may lead to fatigue or breakage. Gently model them into position.
