Key Features & Benefits
-
Durable chromoly frame: Chromoly steel provides strength and resilience. While slightly heavier than aluminium, it allows thinner tubing and gives a more forgiving ride feel. It also resists rust and demands lower maintenance.
-
Compact folding design: In just two simple steps, the bike folds for easy storage in small apartments, car boots or public transport spaces.
-
Reinforced lock mechanisms: Locks on the frame hinge and handlebar hinge are built robustly to avoid accidental unfolding during riding.
-
Complete drivetrain: With 10 speeds from Shimano Tiagra, riders enjoy smooth shifting across urban terrain—including slight inclines.
-
Adjustable ergonomics: Seatpost and handlebar height can be tuned to rider’s preference, making the bike comfortable for a range of heights.
-
Ride-ready out of box: Since 95% assembly is completed, the only required step is fitting the pedals, meaning less hassle to get riding.
Usage Instructions & Setup
-
Inspect upon arrival: Check frame, wheels, hinges, cables and components for transport damage.
-
Install pedals: Note left “L” pedal is reverse thread (turn anti-clockwise to tighten), and right “R” is standard (turn clockwise).
-
Adjust seat & handlebar: Raise or lower to a comfortable height, ensuring not to exceed the minimum insertion mark on seatpost.
-
Lock hinges: Before riding, confirm that both the frame hinge and handlebar hinge locks are fully engaged in their locked positions.
-
Test shifting / brakes: Ride slowly and shift through all 10 gears. Confirm brakes are responsive and pad contact is even.
-
Practice folding / unfolding: In a safe space, practice locking/unlocking the hinges until the process becomes smooth and familiar.
-
Routine checks: Prior to each ride, inspect folding latches, bolts and joints for looseness or play.
-
Cleaning & maintenance: Use mild soap and water for washing. Avoid high-pressure sprays around hinges, bearings and pivots. Lubricate the chain, derailleur pivots and hinge latches periodically (e.g., every 200–300 km).
-
Storage: When folded, store indoors or under shelter. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or heavy rain to preserve paint and integrity of parts.
Precautions & Safety Notes
-
Always ensure both hinge locks are fully secured before riding—failure to do so may result in sudden folding while in motion.
-
Do not exceed the recommended load (≈ 80 kg). Overloading stresses frame, joints and hinges.
-
Avoid aggressive impacts or collisions with curbs or potholes; repeated shocks may compromise hinge mechanisms or frame welds.
-
Inspect hinge areas, welds and joints regularly for cracks, fatigue or deformation. If any structural damage is found, cease use immediately and consult a service professional.
-
Do not overtighten bolts beyond manufacturer torque ratings—especially near hinge parts—to prevent thread damage or distortion.
-
Use compatible replacement parts (tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables) matching the bike’s specs. Incorrect parts may impair performance or compromise safety.
-
After a serious crash or impact, even if cosmetic damage is minimal, inspect hinges, frame and components thoroughly for hidden damage before further use.
