Key Features & Benefits
-
Durable Chromoly Frame: The 4130 chromoly steel frame delivers strength and resilience. Though slightly heavier than aluminium alternatives, it allows for thinner tubing and can result in a more comfortable, forgiving ride.
-
Compact Folding Capability: With its 2-step folding design, the bike folds quickly and compactly, ideal for apartment storage, car boot transport or taking on public transit.
-
Secure Lock Mechanism: Reinforced locks on both the frame hinge and handlebar hinge minimize the risk of accidental folding while riding.
-
Full 10-Speed Drive System: The Shimano Tiagra 10-speed gearing provides flexibility for city riding, mild slopes and variable surfaces.
-
Adjustability: Riders of varying heights can adjust seatpost and handlebars to a comfortable setup without tools.
-
Ride-Ready from the Box: With most of the bike pre-assembled, you only need to attach the pedals and make minor adjustments, so you can be riding quickly.
Usage Instructions & Setup
-
Inspect on arrival: Check the frame welds, hinge mechanisms, wheels, cables and components for any shipping damage.
-
Pedal installation: Identify left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal uses reverse threading (turn anti-clockwise to tighten), and the right pedal uses standard threading (turn clockwise).
-
Adjust seat and handlebar: Raise or lower the seatpost / handlebar to a comfortable height. Make sure you don’t exceed the maximum insertion line on the seatpost.
-
Lock the folding hinges: Before riding, ensure both frame hinge and handlebar hinge locks are fully engaged. They should feel firm and secure.
-
Brake and gear check: Test the brakes for smooth action and responsive stopping, and shift through all 10 gears to make sure the drivetrain is indexed correctly.
-
Practice folding / unfolding: In a safe area, practice unlocking and locking the hinges until the motions become familiar and smooth.
-
Routine pre-ride checks: Before every ride, inspect hinge locks, bolt tightness, tyre pressures, and make sure nothing is loose or rubbing.
-
Cleaning & lubrication: Use mild soap and water to wash the frame and components. Avoid high-pressure sprays near hinge areas or bearings. Lubricate the chain, derailleur pivots and hinge joints every few hundred kilometres or after wet rides.
-
Storage: When folded, store the bike indoors or sheltered from harsh weather. Avoid leaving it under direct sunlight for extended periods, which may degrade paint or parts.
Precautions & Safety Notes
-
Always lock both folding hinges fully before riding. A partially locked hinge can result in sudden folding mid-ride.
-
Do not exceed the recommended rider load (~ 80 kg). Overloading the frame or joints may cause stress or fatigue damage.
-
Avoid aggressive impacts with curbs, potholes or obstacles. Even a robust frame may sustain hidden damage under severe shock.
-
Inspect hinges, welds and joints periodically for cracks, fatigue, or deformation. If any damage is found, discontinue use and seek professional inspection or repair.
-
Do not overtighten bolts beyond recommended torque values—especially around hinge latches and folding parts—to prevent thread damage or deformation.
-
Use only tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables and spare parts that match the bike’s specifications. Mismatched components may impair safety or performance.
-
Following a crash or strong impact, even if no visible damage is apparent, carefully inspect the hinges, frame, joints and components before riding again.
