The Crosser 16 is equipped with a reliable steel crankset (32T), a 16-tooth steel cassette, and a KMC C410 chain, ensuring efficient power transfer and low maintenance for active youngsters. The cockpit features a hi-ten rise handlebar (approx. 500 mm wide, 80 mm rise, 25.4 mm clamp) paired with an alloy stem (22.2 mm, 25.4 mm), providing ergonomic control and a comfortable grip size. A hi-ten headset (30 mm) completes the steering setup.

Wheels include alloy rims with alloy hubs wrapped in KENDA 16″ × 2.125″ tyres, striking a balance between stability and traction — perfect for building cycling confidence. The bike uses alloy V-brakes and matching alloy kids’ brake levers, delivering reliable stopping power under varied riding conditions.

Care & Usage Instructions

  • Bike Setup & Assembly: Confirm that all bolts (stem, handlebars, wheels, seatpost) are securely tightened to the correct torque—refer to manual specs if available. Ensure that wheels spin freely and brakes are aligned and responsive.

  • Seat Height Adjustment: Adjust the hi-ten seatpost (230 × 125 mm) for your child to sit comfortably, with feet flat on the ground for safe mounting and dismounting.

  • Tyre Pressure: Inflate the tyres to around 25–35 psi to maintain a comfy ride and good control over varied surfaces.

  • Brake Checks: Test both V-brakes before riding—brake pads should contact the rims evenly, without rubbing when released.

  • Safety Guidelines: Always equip your child with a properly fitted helmet, and consider gloves and knee/elbow pads, especially on uneven terrain. Avoid rough or wet conditions that could reduce brake efficiency.

  • Maintenance Tips: After biking, wipe down the frame and components with a damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. Store the bike in a dry location to prevent rust on steel parts, particularly the crankset and axle.

  • Routine Care: Periodically lubricate the chain lightly with bike-specific lube to keep shifting smooth and protect from wear.
