Key Features & Benefits
-
Convertible design: The detachable chin guard allows the helmet to transform from full face to open head helmet, giving flexibility depending on the type of ride.
-
Lightweight yet robust: At only ~394 g, the helmet keeps the child’s head comfortable during long rides while maintaining structural integrity.
-
Comfortable fit: With 10 mm padding and adjustable straps, it conforms better to the child’s head shape and reduces pressure points.
-
Effective ventilation: 15 vents help maintain airflow, reducing heat buildup and improving comfort in Malaysia’s warm climate.
-
Safety assurance: CE certification ensures that the helmet meets established safety criteria for impact protection and structural performance.
-
Sizing suitability: The 52–56 cm fit covers a broad range of growing children, reducing the need for frequent replacements within small age spans.
Usage Instructions & Setup
-
Measure head circumference: Use a soft measuring tape to measure around the largest part of the child’s head (about 1.5 cm above the eyebrows and ears). Confirm the measurement lies between 52 and 56 cm.
-
Fit the helmet: Place the helmet level on the head (not tilted backward or forward), ensuring the chin strap can be fastened comfortably.
-
Adjust padding and liner: If supplied with removable liners, position them to eliminate gaps and ensure an even snugness.
-
Attach / detach chin guard: To use in full face mode, slide or clip in the chin guard until it locks securely. To revert to open style, undo the clip mechanism gently.
-
Secure the strap: Fasten the chin strap, then adjust side and chin buckles so that only one or two fingers can slip between strap and chin.
-
Check alignment: Ensure the helmet does not obstruct vision, the visor (if installed) doesn’t block upward view, and the helmet doesn’t shift when the child moves their head.
-
Regular checks: Before each ride, check that the chin guard (if used), straps, liner, and shell are intact and secure.
-
Cleaning & care: Use mild soap and lukewarm water to clean the shell and liner. Avoid solvents or harsh chemicals that may degrade the polycarbonate or padding. Allow to air-dry fully before reuse.
Precautions & Safety Notes
-
Always confirm that the child wears the helmet on every ride—regardless of distance.
-
Do not overtighten straps—excessive force can cause discomfort or restrict breathing.
-
Inspect the helmet periodically for cracks, dents, or damage—replace immediately if any structural damage is observed.
-
Avoid dropping or throwing the helmet, as even without visible damage internal integrity may be compromised.
-
Never use high-pressure water jets near vents or clip mechanisms to avoid water intrusion and damage to retention parts.
-
The helmet is designed for impact from cycling or similar use; it is not intended for motor vehicle speeds or motorsports use unless specifically certified.
-
If the helmet has had a significant impact (e.g. crash), even if outer surface looks fine, replace it—internal liner may be fractured.
-
Do not store in direct sunlight or extremely hot environments (e.g. car boot under sun) for extended periods, as UV exposure may degrade materials.
