Key Features & Advantages
-
The aluminium frame with clean welding ensures durability without excessive weight.
-
Carbon rigid fork enhances front-end responsiveness and damping of road buzz.
-
The 2×12 drivetrain yields a broad gear range, offering strong climbing capability and fast flats.
-
Sealed bearing hubs and headset reduce friction and maintenance needs.
-
Road caliper brakes are lightweight and serviceable across many towns in Malaysia.
-
With a nominal weight of ~10.5 kg, it is light enough for spirited climbing yet stable in handling.
Usage Instructions
Initial Setup
-
Upon delivery, ensure the front wheel, handlebars, seatpost and pedals are correctly installed and torqued to spec.
-
Adjust saddle height such that your leg has a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke (not fully locked).
-
Align the handlebars with the front wheel and secure stem bolts firmly.
Gearing & Riding
-
Start in a middle gear; shift to lower gears (larger cogs) for climbs, higher gears for flats.
-
To shift more smoothly, slightly reduce pedalling force during changes.
-
Avoid extreme cross-chaining (e.g. small ring + small cog) to protect the drivetrain.
-
Use both front and rear caliper brakes evenly when slowing, especially on descents or in wet conditions.
Routine Maintenance
-
Clean and lubricate the chain regularly (especially after rain or dusty rides).
-
Monitor tyre pressures; typical 700 × 25C road tyres may be recommended around 90–120 psi (or as stamped on sidewall).
-
Check brake pads for wear and alignment; adjust or replace as needed.
-
Inspect frame joints, bolts, headset and rims periodically.
-
Replace worn parts (chain, cassette, cables) before they cause damage.
Precautions & Safety Notes
-
Always wear a helmet, gloves, and visible clothing — especially during traffic or low-light periods.
-
Before each ride, ensure all quick-release levers, clamps and bolts are securely tightened.
-
Do not exceed the recommended weight limit for frame, seatpost and components (rider + gear).
-
Avoid riding aggressively over large potholes, curbs or obstacles—these can damage rims, frame, fork or components.
-
If you hear unusual creaks, detect looseness in steering, or encounter shifting/braking problems, stop riding immediately and inspect or consult a reputable bike mechanic.
-
Store the bike indoors or sheltered from direct sun and humidity to preserve paint, bearings and components over time.
