Reliable, compact and fast — this threaded CO₂ cartridge is an essential accessory to your Geometric CO₂ mini pump system (pump not included). Available in both 16 g and 25 g variants, it delivers rapid inflation of bike tyres during emergencies or on-the-go fixes. Compatible with the Geometric CO₂ mini pump and other standard threaded inflators, it fits neatly into saddle bags or jersey pockets while riding across Malaysia.
Specifications & Dimensions
-
Variant Options / Gas Content: 16 g or 25 g CO₂ gas per cartridge
-
Type / Thread: Threaded cartridge, compatible with standard threaded CO₂ inflators (typical 3/8-24 TPI thread)
-
Material / Construction: Steel shell construction (recyclable, single-use)
-
Dimensions (typical 16 g size): Approx. 22 mm × 22 mm × 88 mm (diameter × height)
-
Typical Pressure / Performance:
• On a road bike tyre, the 16 g cartridge can inflate up to ~ 100–120 psi (depending on tyre size)
• On mountain bike / wider tyres, expect lower finished pressure (safe inflation within tyre’s rated pressure) -
Weight: The cartridge itself is light (a few tens of grams), so it adds minimal carrying load
-
Intended Use: Emergency tyre inflation during rides; ideal backup to manual pumps
Features & Advantages
-
Fast Inflation: Delivers rapid tyre inflation in seconds — ideal for roadside repairs.
-
Compact & Portable: Slim cylinder fits easily into saddle packs, frame bags or jersey pockets.
-
Versatile Compatibility: Threaded design works with many standard CO₂ inflators, not limited to Geometric brand.
-
Twin Size Options: Choose 16 g for regular road rides, or 25 g when extra gas reserve is desired for multiple fills.
-
Recyclable Steel: After use, the steel shell can be recycled responsibly.
Usage Instructions
-
Preparation
• Ensure the inflator head / valve is dry and free from debris.
• Choose the correct variant (16 g or 25 g) depending on tyre volume and pressure requirement. -
Attachment & Inflation
• Screw the threaded cartridge into the inflator head until sealed.
• Open the valve carefully (if your inflator has a twist or lever) to release CO₂ smoothly.
• Direct the inflator nozzle into the tyre valve (Schrader or Presta as applicable) and allow gas flow.
• Monitor pressure — stop once tyre reaches safe working pressure (check tyre sidewall).
• Close valve (if possible) and detach cartridge/inflator. -
After Inflation
• Because CO₂ gas escapes slowly through inner-tube materials over time, re-inflate with air (manual pump or floor pump) when you return home or at first convenience.
• Safely discard the empty cartridge — do not reuse.
Precautions & Safety Notes
-
Always check tyre’s maximum pressure rating (stated on the tyre sidewall) — do not overinflate.
-
Use caution when handling and operating cartridges — CO₂ releases cold gas; avoid direct skin contact with the gas stream or metal surfaces.
-
Do not puncture or incinerate unused cartridges.
-
Store cartridges in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or high heat.
-
Always wear protective eyewear or gloves if possible when handling or releasing CO₂.
-
After use, discard the spent cartridge; do not attempt to refill.
-
Ensure you have a compatible threaded inflator; forcing a mismatch may damage the cartridge or valve.
-
Use only as an emergency or convenience tool — it is not a substitute for regular tyre maintenance or a proper pump.
