Perfect for urban commuters and riders with limited storage, the Polygon Urbano 5 offers effortless portability paired with a comfortable upright riding stance. Its foldable ALX alloy frame features a secure safety lock and magnetic latch for compact folding—ideal for rush-hour train rides or stowing at home.

The bike rolls on 20-inch double-wall alloy rims (28H) and is fitted with VeeTire Speedster 20 × 1 ³⁄₈″ tyres, offering a smooth ride on urban roads and footpaths. Its braking performance is handled by Tektro HDM-275 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and rear—providing confident and consistent stopping, even in Malaysia’s humid or rainy conditions.

Drivetrain comes in a user-friendly 1 × 9-speed setup. It uses a Shimano Altus SL-M2010 shifter, Sora RD-R3000 rear derailleur, and an 11–32T cassette, offering a practical gear range for navigating city inclines and flats. The two-piece alloy crank, with a 53T chainring and single chain guard, ensures efficient pedalling and helps keep clothing protected.

The adjustable alloy folding stem (approx. 275–350 mm) and 560 mm wide handlebars allow for ergonomic positioning, while the alloy seatpost (Ø 34.9 mm × 580 mm) suits riders between about 150 cm and 190 cm tall. The total weight is approximately 11.9 kg, making it lighter than many urban folding bikes and easy to carry when folded.

Usage Instructions & Safety Tips

  • Initial Setup & Pre-Ride Check
After unfolding, ensure the safety lock and magnetic latch are fully engaged. Tighten the stem, seatpost, and wheel skewers securely. Confirm the hydraulic discs engage cleanly and that gears shift smoothly.

  • Adjusting Fit
Set the saddle height so your leg has a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke—comfortably accommodated by the 580 mm post. Adjust the stem and handlebar height for upright posture and clear visibility through Malaysia’s busy streets.

  • Tyre Pressure
Inflate tyres to the recommended range shown on the tyre sidewall (typically around 40–60 psi, which equals 2.8–4.1 bar). Adjust slightly lower during wet conditions for better grip on slippery pavements.

  • Brake Maintenance
Clean rotors and brake calipers regularly, particularly after rain. In humid environments, ensure disc pads remain free from oil to maintain strong braking performance.

  • Routine Care
Wipe down the frame and components with a damp cloth post-ride, especially in tropical humidity. Dry thoroughly and apply bike-specific lube to the chain to prevent rust.

  • Folding Practice
Learn a safe, consistent folding routine—check that the frame latch holds firmly. Folding and unfolding should become smooth to avoid damage or misalignment.

  • Safety Gear & Riding Conditions
Always ride with a certified helmet and reflective clothing or lights for low-light conditions. Be cautious navigating through crowded paths or rain-slicked surfaces—hydraulic brakes offer solid control but still need space to engage safely.

  • Accessory Compatibility
The Urbano 5 supports the addition of mudguards and a rear rack—a helpful enhancement for carrying items like groceries or a small bag.
